It's simlair to UK vs. US except the UK covers are battling it out with their foreign counterparts from all over the world, because who doesn't love judging books by their covers!

Mist: Awww I love both covers but I'm slightly more swayed by the UK cover because of the pretty red dress lol But the Spanish cover is pretty cool and really haunting and I love the font and the colours. The UK cover is gorgeous as well, the ice berg in the backgroud is cool.

Ninfa: The English cover is really pretty, with the gorgeous red dress and the big moon in the backdrop. I like the Titanic little details as well like the iceberg in the back, it gives a better sense of the book. The Spanish cover is pretty, but I don't think it relates to the story very much, there's nothing to tell me waht the book is about so it's a clear UK win for me.

Mist: This one is no contest, I love the UK cover, it's so bright and pretty, the patterns are awesome, the whole thing is so eye catching. The German cover is really nice and I love the colour and it would make a suitable alternative but I much prefer the UK cover.

Ninfa: Well, I like both covers fro different reasons. The UK one is very pretty, with the details around the cover and I like the contrast of the big blue eyes in the model's face. The only thing with the UK cover is that it's not much different from countless others I've seen around (pretty model, flowery swirls around her) so not very original. The German cover makes me think of someone encased in ice, hence the long long sleep, so just because it seems more suited to the actual book title I'm gonna go with Germany this time.

Mist: These are both so different and lovely, I really like the colour of the UK cover and the font but I love the Polish cover as well, it's kinda haunting but it has that random flower lol I think I prefer the UK cover but only by an incy bit.

Ninfa: Oh, the Polish cover is really pretty, dark with the splash of colour from the petals. I really like the model and the doorway behind her, kinda makes me wonder what's on the other side. The UK cover is okay, nothing very exciting to be honest, so it's gotta be a Polish win :)

Mist: This one is easy, UK!! Oh it's so gorgeous with the sweeping dress and the street and creepy bare trees, the US cover is kinda boring in comparison, I do like the pattern on it though.

Ninfa: I love the UK cover, the model walking down the road whilst the swans shadows in the distance. Very atmospheric! The US cover in my opinion is something we've seen before, model face, swirls like tattoos. A little creepy for me as well...UK wins.

What's it about?

My review:

For the final book in the series I have to say I expected more but I found afterlife to be pretty slow paced whilst our gang uncover the mysteries that have been unravelling during the series. But, that being said, it doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the book, it just wasn't what I expected. I found some problems were solved to easily and the ending wasn't what I was thinking of at all. There were parts I did like though, I loved the new friendship between Vic and Ranulf which had me laughing out loud at times and Ranulf getting used to the modern world and Vic's 'lingo' is also pretty amusing, one phrase still sticks with me after finishing the book,

"This is indeed the way in which I roll."

I also found Lucas' struggles with becoming a vampire very interesting, I was glad he didn't just 'take to it' like some other books anxiety thought it was great how Balthazar is there for him and they become friends.
The final 'battle' scene was short and the end sad, I almost cried but never lol
So, all in all, a good book but not quite up to the standards I'd expect for the final book in a series, that's why it got 3 instead of 4/5.
