Hello all, sorry there's been nothing up this week! I've just been really busy and not had much time to get on the computer. But anyway...

It's my birthday this coming Friday and I've already been lucky enough to receive a few gifts!

First off, I got this lovely paperback of Double click, a few months back I got an ecopy for review and loved the book as much as the first, but I really wanted a copy of the pb because my review is quoted on the back cover! And also because I have the first in pb which is also signed, the author was nice enough to send me a copy herself and signed it which was so awesome of her!

Then I also got three books from a friend; Let the sky fall by Shannon Messenger, Middle ground by Katie Kacvinsky and Gravity by Melissa West. All have been on my wishlist for ages so I can't wait to get to them!

10th - 16th June '13

I've had another great week for books and got a couple I'm excited about :)

First off a good friend gifted me a copy For darkness shows the stars by Diana Peterfreund which has been on my wishlist for so long! And another friend gave me her copy of Aces up by Lauren Barnholdt which I'm looking forward to getting to.

I also picked myself up a copy of Walking disaster by Jamie McGuire this week, I've not read book one yet but it was only £2 so I figured why not?

And the other two books I got are for review, Anarchy by James Treadwell and Unbreakable by Elizabeth Norris which I'm excited about as I enjoyed book one.

I also got a couple of Kindle freebies, Crossing the line by Katie McGarry and Stitch by Samantha Durante and bought a couple of cheap ones, The great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald was 77p and Watch over me by Daniela Sacerdoti is only 30p!

3rd - 9th June '13

Hello! So I didn't get any books last week but I'm back this week with an awesome stack, I would have done a vlog but I only got the majority of them yesterday so there hasn't been time, but anyway, on to the books!

First off, I got two books for review this week, Terminus by Adam Baker, this is the sequel to the brilliant Outpost and third book in the series altogether, I actually started it the day it arrived because I couldn't wait and loving it so far. Revenge wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger was a random book, I haven't read the first but I did enjoy the movie so I'll probably pick this up when I'm in the mood for it.

Next, I went to Simon and Schusters little blogger party yesterday and received all of these amazing goodies!

C.J. Harper and Sophie McKenzie were also at the event, they both did a little talk and signed copies of their books, it was a really great day and it's always fun to meet other bloggers and the people from the publishers :)

Happy Sunday all! I had a pretty quiet week for books, I got four books, all for review.

Firstly I got Vortex by S.J. Kincaid from Hot key books, its the sequel to Insignia which I read last year and enjoyed the second half of lol.

Next I received two books from Puffin/Penguin, Invisibility by Andrea Cremer and David Levithan which I've been dying to get my hands on and Nowhere by Jon Robinson which sounds really interesting.

And lastly I got a random book from Bloomsbury, All our yesterdays by Cristin Terrill, I've never heard of this one and wasn't sure about it but have been told it's really good so I'm going to give it a go.

Sorry for the lack of video again, I admit, I was just being lazy this week but I did get some books that I'm excited about and here's a nice photo.

First off, my lovely friend Donna (Book passion for life) gave me Acid by Emma Pass which I've heard is great and Dearly beloved by Lia Habel, I haven't read the first but I've had it since it came out so I really should!

The rest of the books, I received for review. Jeff Norton contacted me about the third book in his MetaWars series Battle of the immortal to see if I would like a copy as he knew I enjoyed the first two books when he sent me book two last year, I actually started it the day it arrived and am enjoying it so far and its signed! He also sent me Drummer girl by Bridget Tyler which I'm also really please with as I'd requested it from Templar the day before but they were out of proofs.

I did receive one of the books I asked for from Templar though, The testing by Joelle Charbonneau, another one I've heard is great things about. From HarperCollins I got Interworld and The silver dream by Neil Gaiman and Michael Reeves which sound really interesting. And lastly I also received a children's book for review this week but I forgot to include it in the photo because my son has claimed it, it's Oh no! from PatrickGeorge.

Hell everyone! This weeks showcase is actually a two week one, I was busy with my daughters birthday last week and she was poorly so it just slipped my mind but here are the books I've gotten in the last fortnight.

The program by Suzanne Young - About a month ago or so I won a 'choose your own' giveaway so I choose to have this preordered for me and it arrived right around the release date, I've been wanting this baby since I heard about it about six months ago so I'm really pleased to have it and can't wait to give it a read.

Etiquette and espionage by Gail Carriger - I found this in The works (A cheap UK book store) for £2 so I grabbed it!

Gift

The world of Downton abbey by Jessica and Julian Fellowes - My boyfriend surprised me with this book and I'm looking forward to checking it out, I love the TV show!

For review

Loki's wolves by Kelley Armstrong and Melissa Marr - Might be a bit young for me but I've enjoyed books from both authors and I love mythology so we'll see.

Goddess by Josephine Angelini - I still haven't read the first two! oops.

Heaven by Alexandra Adornetto - I actually already have a copy of this book when the publishers sent me the large pb version last year and now they've also sent me a smaller one lol So I'll pass this extra one onto someone else.

Rules of summer by Joanna Philbin - I haven't actually heard of this one but it sounds good :)

Hey guys, hope you've all had a good week and enjoyed the Easter holidays. My kids are back to school tomorrow which I think we're all happy about lol. I like having them home but they get bored and the bad weather makes going out difficult, plus we've had chicken pox in our house!

Anyway, on to the books!

I received three books this week, all for review. Angelfall by Susan EE was a random one, I hadn't even realised it was being officially published until this pretty paperback came through my letterbox, I've had the self pubbed version on my Kindle for more than a year so its probably time I got around to reading the book, I've heard great things about it.

I requested Girl in the clockwork collar by Kady Cross because I already have books one and three so now I have the set and will read and review them together.

And lastly, Lost worlds by Andrew Lane, I think I asked to be on the list for this one at the start of the year but honestly can't remember but it sounds great and I'm looking forward to it.

First off I just want to apologise for the lack of posts this week! I've just been busy and not finishing any books to write reviews for and I've had nothing else to put up :( I'll try to pick things up this coming week.

Hi guy, once again there's no vlog this week as I only received two books so its a lot easier to just do a photo although I do miss vlogging, I haven't made a video in a few weeks now :(

I've actually been pretty lucky lately and won both of these books! My life next door by Huntley Fitzpatrick was one I won in a winners choice giveaway on Facebook, I've been dying to get my hands on it for so long so I'm really excited to finally have a copy and 1.4 by Mike Lancaster I won from Emma at Book angel booktopia, I've had the first book for such a long time but haven't yet read it so now I have extra reason to get to it!

I also picked up The prince by Kiera Cass, its a novella in her The selection series and I've heard its really good so I'm likely going to squeeze it in next to find out for myself.

Hello! Yes I'm still alive, sorry for the lack of everything on the blog this week, I've been really unwell this week :( But I did at least get a few books to brighten up my week, unlike last week when I got none! I really wanted to do a vlog but I'm still not 100% so here's some pictures instead.

Firstly, I bought Earth girl by Janet Edwards, I've been meaning to get a finished copy of this for ages and I just had to get a US copy when it was released this week because look...

... I'm quoted on the back! How freakin exciting, and on such a brilliant book too :)

The other book that I bought, Obscura burning by Suzanne Van Rooyan was the other book I purchased with the gift card I won a few weeks ago and it finally arrived, I'm really looking forward to reading it.

Then I received two books for review, A face like glass by Frances Hardinge which just sounds so unique and Power of the ninja: Fire by T.J. Perkins straight from the author, I read the first book two years ago so I'm going to have to refresh my memory before getting to this one!

And I also bought some cups and pens with the blogs logo and my new nail art blogs logo :)

I was also lucky to receive an ARC of Beneath by Cambria Hebert for review, it's the latest novella in her Heven and hell series and will be out at the end of the month. I've already read it and will have a review up soon.
